Disadvantages of the e-paper technology

Although an e-paper is a great product, everything has advantages and disadvantages.
However the disadvantages are not so many.
The e-ink used in the manufacture of e-paper makes it slow to use as it has a low refresh rate especially when there is a need for videos on the e-paper.
The e-paper can only display in black and white for the meantime.
In applying the e-paper to different organizations, there will be maintenance and repairing costs. Also mass production is still unavailable because the technology is still relatively new and so it is too expensive to produce in certain parts of the world and thus cannot be used there.
All things considered, the e-paper is still a technology in progress thus we can expect these disadvantages to be addressed with time.
